I own F&R Development, a custom home builder in Northern Virginia. We do ground-up custom homes and major renovations — the kind of projects where the paperwork is just as complex as the build.

For years I watched the same pattern play out: land a project, get buried in emails, chase subcontractor paperwork, build estimates at 10pm, miss follow-ups that could have been the next job. The office work never stopped. And hiring full-time admin staff didn't make sense for a company my size.

So I started building systems to handle it. Tools that could triage my inbox, track bids, build estimates from plans, chase down COIs, and flag compliance issues before they became problems.

It worked. The office stopped eating my weekends. I got time back for what actually matters: building and winning work.
